Acclaimed street artist Peter Gibson aka Roadsworth joins us later in June to install Singing River on the Lower Don Trail. This new road painting is Peter’s visual response to the work of Native Earth writers Cathy Elliott, Jeremy Proulx, Jessica Lea Fleming and Cheyenne Scott. Over the course of a month, the writers created original texts in response to the image of the “singing river”: listening to the Don/Wonscontach River’s voice and reflecting on its past, present and future. Mentored by Jani Lauzon, the workshop series culminated in a group improvisation with Christine Duncan and the Element Choir.
