Join us in this hands-on workshop and learn two sustainable textile techniques: wool felting and eco-printing. Felted wool stones echo Lake Ontario’s pebble beaches, while the leaves of native plants pattern cotton and silk. Our collective work contributes to costumes for On the Brink’s dancers and musicians. With designer Sonja Rainey and artistic director Juliet Palmer.

Sonja Rainey is a Dora-nominated set and costume designer and community based artist. She has designed for theatre, puppetry, opera, film and spectacle events in Canada, the U.S and the Czech Republic. Her approach is tactile and experiential, creating objects and immersive environments which question what lies below the surface. Sonja has an MFA from the University of Texas at Austin and a BFA from Concordia University.
