This June, vocal adventurers Ayelet Rose Gottlieb and Juliet Palmer lead a series of five creative workshops. After a year close to home, find your voice in four contrasting spaces — nurturing body and soul in the kitchen, the ups and downs of stairs, floating free in your bathtub, sinking into sleep. Each workshop focuses on a different aspect of the house, resonating both within and without. Uncover and share memories, sounds, stories, images and movement. In break-out rooms and in the communal space, we’ll sing and listen, exploring new ways to make music together.
Sign up for the Sing Around the House workshop series at Orchard of Pomegranates, a home for improvisation and vocal exploration.
Selections from offerings created during this workshop series will be featured as part of Urbanvessel’s The Homing Project, a multidisciplinary production at Toronto’s Don Valley Brick Works Park with choreography by Aria Evans. Selected contributions will be fully credited and with the creator’s permission. This is an opportunity to sound together and be part of a dynamic creative process!
